IAVE Congress 2019 + IFUNAM MedPhys Summer School
This year, IAVE Congress will be part of the 2nd Summer School in Medical Physics at the Institute of Physics-UNAM (IFUNAM). Registration to both events is free for IAVE Members.

The IAVE Student Virtual Congress seeks to foster the exchange of ideas and knowledge among undergrad and graduate students in Medical Physics and related area across geographical borders. It also aims at providing students with experience on preparing abstracts and talks for scientific events. It provides a virtual space (using virtual communication tools) in which students can present talks on peer-reviewed abstracts about their research interests and projects.
The Congress+School will be accesible on the Jitsi channel https://meet.jit.si/IAVE2019. A password will be sent via email to registered attendees to access the channel.

- Abstract submission deadline: May 10th (10:00pm CST)
- Notice for abstract corrections: May 17th
- Corrected abstract resubmission: May 20th (10:00 CST)
- Final notice of acceptance: May 22th
- CST = Central Standard Time (GMT-6)

Abstract evaluation process
On May 17 authors will receive feedback from the peer-review referees. If no changes are requested by the referees the author will not be contacted on May 17th.
Abstracts must be revised and resubmitted by authors with all modifications requested by the referees by May 20th 10:00pm CST.
All abstracts will be scored, and the best will be selected for talks.
Abstracts not selected to give a talk may be invited to present a PDF poster for the Summer School.
Abstract rejections will be communicated directly to the author
Authors will be notified about the final decision on May 22nd.
General Information for presenters
Presentations will be allotted a total of 15 minutes: 12 minutes presentation + 2 for questions Presenters can choose to present in English or Spanish, with slides in English. The format is PowerPoint widescreen slide (*.pptx or *.ppt, 16:9 format).Presentations are preferred to be live (online or in-person). In case a timeslot or recording accomodation must be made please contact your closest Node Coordinator as soon as you have been notified of Final Acceptance.
